Glorious and Free is a Trans Canada Brewery Collaboration started by our good friends @dominioncity .They asked Canadian breweries to join them in brewing an all-Canadian IPA, using 100% Canadian ingredients and committing to donating proceeds to a local organization that makes Canada stronger. It’s about bringing all of us together, to take action for our local communities and strengthen Canada at a crucial moment in our history.
This beer was brewed using Canadian malt, hops from @houblonniere_lupuline and yeast from @escarpmentlabs . Proceeds will support @ftndurham in their mission to provide emergency food distribution services to people in our community that are in need.
The beer itself is a real delight. We leaned into a contemporary take on a West Coast style IPA and highlighted the citrus and pine notes that pop from these Canadian grown hops. The bitterness and malt character are in perfect harmony creating an IPA that is easy drinking and representative of the ingredients we have in our own back yard. It's available in cans and on tap at the brewery now.
